-The $80 deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE and non-transferable. No exceptions.
-You may reschedule once. If you need to again, another deposit will be required.
-The deposit is forfeited if notice to reschedule is given within 48 hours before your appointment time (more on this below).
-If you need to change your appointment and can't reschedule at that time, it is then treated as a cancellation. I can't have floating deposits.
-Older deposits will not be honoured after one year.
-Deposit may be forfeited if large changes are made to design, placement, style or size. The deposit is solely for the design/placement you booked, so if you start making changes after, you may forfeit your deposit and lose your appt time, as it was booked based on the original specs.
-Send deposit after I send you the deposit info and you confirm the date/time I gave you.
-Deposits are accepted by E transfer, and by sending the deposit the client is agreeing to these terms and secures their designated booking time.
There will be special deposit policies in place for December appointments each year. Deposits will be $120 and apply only to that appointment with no rescheduling allowable. If you do need to reschedule, you forfeit that deposit and a new $80 deposit will be required to rebook for the next year. No exceptions.
After years of people cancelling and rescheduling during these hectic months leading up to the busy holiday season, I have finally decided to do something to try and take some of the stress and financial strain off each year. Being self employed is hard at the best of times, and much worse during these times... so please understand and only book in if you have budgeted time and money for yourself during this crazy time :)
~~The deposit policy is set and there are no exceptions. For anyone wondering why the policy is this way, I will shed some light on the reasoning:
The deposits hold your spot with me, ensuring my drawing time and my tattoo time for you. The deposits purpose is also to make sure that I get to work and get paid for those appointments. So it’s a mutually beneficial situation. It is hard to fill a spot when they open up. Then IF filled, having to do last minute drawings for those new appointments during reasonable working hours (around the other exisiting appointments and my personal life) is not ideal and also inconvenient. While you are only one person, you could be my third rescheduling request that same week, and that extra work adds up.
~Cancelling; I absolutely understand if you need to cancel. Things happen and if you are not able to rebook, just understand I only get paid when I do a tattoo.
~Rescheduling with more then 48 hours notice; Life happens so each appt is allowed one reschedule with their deposit to be carried over.
~Need to reschedule a 2nd time; After the first time, if there is another instance, that is where I hold the deposit for my time that was booked again, for my effort trying to fill anymore vacancies again, all of our extra correspondence, my drawing time, and it does not even cover what income I would have made for that day or for the first time, so it makes up a small part of my lost income. I will still be at a loss.
~Rescheduling with less then 48 hours notice; It can be very difficult to fill the opening within reasonable working hours. Tracking someone else down or posting the availability and waiting for responses.. and then having time to draw a whole new tattoo last minute is not ideal. Therefore, the deposit is forfeited to help cover a small portion of my time & energy trying to fill the spot or to help cover the lost income.
So for all the reasons people may have and want exceptions to the rules, I have taken a long time to build these boundaries and put these policies in place and I appreciate when they are respected :) I am not a big corporation, I am one individual and I can’t imagine anyone asking a self-employed person in the service industry to basically take an unpaid day off work.
So to summerize: There are no exceptions. This applies to everyone and you're made aware at the time of booking when I send the deposit info and you agree by sending your deposit. If you reschedule once, and need to a second time, you will need a new deposit to book in again. If you reschedule within 48 hours of your appt time, you will need a new deposit. If you cancel altogether, you forfeit the deposit. I have the right to deny service to anyone if they do not oblige to these policies.
